What the official record shows
According to the MoSPI PAIMANA dashboard snapshot for May 2026, Delhi–Amritsar–Katra Expressway Phase I, Package X had an original approved cost of ₹2,178 crore. The record lists cumulative expenditure of ₹1,004.28 crore. Its revised reported cost was ₹2,062.74 crore.
The reported revised cost is ₹115.26 crore lower than the original approved cost (5.3%). This numerical difference is not, by itself, evidence of a project overrun or its cause. The originally reported completion date was 9 July 2024; the dashboard lists 30 September 2025 as the revised date. These are officially recorded planning dates, not independently verified evidence that construction was completed on either date.
