What the official record shows
According to the MoSPI PAIMANA dashboard snapshot for May 2026, Delhi–Amritsar–Katra Expressway Phase I, Package VIII had an original approved cost of ₹1,896 crore. The record lists cumulative expenditure of ₹751.95 crore. Its revised reported cost was ₹2,034.94 crore.
The reported revised cost is ₹138.94 crore higher than the original approved cost (7.3%). This numerical difference is not, by itself, evidence of a project overrun or its cause. The dashboard gives 13 March 2025 as the original completion date and does not separately report a revised completion date. These are officially recorded planning dates, not independently verified evidence that construction was completed on either date.
