Supreme Court permits certified green crackers in Delhi-NCR on 7–8 November
In its 29 October 2026 order (2026 INSC 1181), the Supreme Court temporarily permits certified green firecrackers in Delhi-NCR on 7–8 November between 6–7 am and 8–10 pm. Bursting is prohibited within 300 metres of hospitals, educational institutions and other specified sensitive sites. The complete ban resumes on 9 November. Sales and manufacture remain subject to the order's separate restrictions.
