Source and method
Daily Brent and West Texas Intermediate spot price observations originate from the US Energy Information Administration and are retrieved via the open datasets/oil-prices collection. The figures are historical spot observations, not live futures or Indian retail fuel prices. Non-trading days are not filled; reported negative values are preserved. A chart connects the last available published observations without estimating missing days.
The latest observation date is separate from the source retrieval date. Historical prices may be revised by the original publisher.
