How the conversions work

Gold

The feed publishes an indicative INR price per gram of gold. The displayed 10-gram equivalent multiplies that observation by ten. It excludes GST, making charges and local dealer premiums.

Silver

The USD-per-troy-ounce silver reference is converted using the supplied USD/INR exchange-rate reference, then scaled to kilograms using 31.1034768 grams per troy ounce. It is not a physical bullion retail quotation.

Gold-to-silver ratio

Dividing the gold price per troy ounce by the silver price per troy ounce expresses how many silver ounces have the same quoted value as one gold ounce. A higher ratio means gold is more expensive relative to silver.

What these figures do not represent

They are not MCX executable prices, local jeweller prices, contracts, promises of availability or buy/sell recommendations. For historic energy benchmarks, use the Brent and WTI source tables.
