Budget Estimates, Revised Estimates and actual spending are different accounting stages. Do not treat an allocation as money already spent.

* Comparing 2024–25 actuals to 2026–27 budget estimates is a cross-period comparison, not an execution rate. Parent and child expenditure heads overlap; do not sum all rows.

## Source and limitations

Primary source: [Ministry of Finance, Expenditure Profile 2026–27, Statement 1 (Summary of Expenditure, printed page 1)](<https://www.indiabudget.gov.in/doc/eb/vol1.pdf>). The amounts are in ₹ crore, reproduced to two decimals with each of the four officially specified accounting periods.

The figures are a dated published Budget extract, not updated automatically and not a statement of expenditure realised during 2026–27. Categories are hierarchical: central expenditure plus transfers equals expenditure through the Budget; their subheads must not be added again. The original government PDF takes precedence if a discrepancy is identified.
